Perth in the Buff star sheds pounds for new role

I am delighted to be working with Ian Grieve again to help him get in shape for his new project, Perth in The Buff.

“Perth wag Ian Grieve has signed up to a gruelling training regime ahead of his return to the stage next month. Determined to shed the pounds in time for the premiere of his new satire Perth in the Buff, the director, actor and singer has enlisted the help of personal trainer Steve Bonthrone.

Ian, who will appear in the fund-raising show alongside the town’s own Andy Gray, Amanda Beveridge and Charlie Fraser, has been putting in long hours running laps at the North Inch. He has even swapped pies and booze for a strict diet of natural foods to ensure he is able to squeeze into his brand new suit. Ian said yesterday: “I am literally feeling the burn to get back on the stage. Walking up and down stairs is sore, and I am seriously missing Murray’s pies.”

[testimonial]I first met Steve in 1999 when I was 23 stone. Physically, I was in a terrible state. I had to undertake my gym induction over two days as I fainted during the first attempt. My blood pressure, cholesterol and stress levels were through the roof. After months of hard work and one-to-one support, I had lost five stone.[client_name]Ian Grieve, Perth in the Buff[/client_name][/testimonial]
