Move Better Feel Better is my program that does what it says on the tin, taking you from where you are right now to where you want to be and discover what you’re capable of!
We focus on you and what’s important to you. Many of my clients come to me because they want to get back into exercising again but don’t want to join a gym. They’ve maybe had a negative experience in the past with exercise or even working with a trainer as a couple have said “we’re not 25 anymore” in our first session.
I design my training programs around you, starting with where you are right now, get you moving better, eating better and sleeping better so you feel able to do more and want to do things you thought were impossible for you!
How It Works
We start with a chat. This is a great way for us to get to know each other.
We’ll talk about you, your goals, your journey so far, what you’ve tried before, what you struggle with etc. This will give me a greater understanding of your needs and I’ll be able to tell you exactly how I can help you.
I’ll invite you to connect with my app where you’ll receive your training plan (including videos of all exercises), all other tools you’ll need plus a messaging facility to keep in touch between sessions
In our first session, I’m going to get you moving. This isn’t to see how fit or unfit you are. I want to see how well you move, what restrictions you have and then create exercises that will help you move more freely. These exercises will become part of your first training program.
We’ll also discuss your diet and lifestyle and suggest one or two changes to try before our next session.
All exercises and changes to diet and lifestyle will be added to the app for you to follow. There’s also a messaging facility for us to keep in touch between sessions.
I see this as starting with a blank canvas and laying the foundations to build on as you continue on your journey.
In each of our sessions, we’ll review what you’ve done since the previous one and get your feedback on how you’re feeling with it all then adapt and progress you.
The exercises will be designed to challenge you, are manageable but require you to practice to become better. Much like how you learned to ride a bike. All you need to do is practice everything to become better and this is where you will see the greater progress and become able to do things you couldn’t do before.
I believe in making a series of small changes you practice daily. These changes become habits that will lead you directly to your goals and give you long-lasting benefits.

I came to see Steve after having extensive surgery in my knee and needed to strengthen my leg. As well as helping physically, Steve was very good at working through mental blocks I had. This allowed me to see that my knee was capable of far more than I thought. I am now back training at Karate, my knee feels great and my leg is as strong as it’s ever been!
