Project 3.0 is my personal challenge to run a 3hr marathon, or quicker, at the Edinburgh Marathon on 28th May in order to qualify for a Good For Age place in the 2024 London Marathon.
I ran my first marathon in London in 1998 and it changed my life. I had entered while recovering from my back going into spasm and saw the race as the perfect target and would require me to get out of my comfort zone to complete, and I did. I have run London another 6 times since then and would love to go back against having earned my place.
How I Will Do It
To do it, I will be combining everything I’ve learned over the past 25 years of marathon running and in fitness training. I’ll be using the same principles and methods I apply in coaching my 1-1 and running clients.
I want to share my journey with you here, to give you an understanding of what it’s like to work with me and perhaps inspire you to achieve something you’ve always wanted to do.
