Welcome To Run Club Perth
Welcome to my new running club that’s designed to help people improve their form, speed and endurance.
When you look to make progress as a runner, you must develop your own skill to run and train your body to move it the way you want to otherwise that progress will be fairly limited. I have set up this club as a natural progression to my 0-5k in 4 Weeks group and to help regular runners make the progress they want to see in a fun and friendly setting and without killing themselves constantly doing speed sessions. If anything, the sessions will be designed to help make your runs feel easier and more enjoyable.
Who is it for?
Anyone who has either completed the Couch to 5k program or my own 0-5k in 4 Weeks program and wants to take the next step.
Those already running 5k or 10k, do parkrun regularly, want to become better and improve their times.
Regular runners who have been working hard in training but not seeing the progress they have been looking for.
What can I expect?
The sessions will be a mix of drills to work on form and technique and distance runs to help develop your skills.
You will learn:
- How to run more efficiently
- A simple 3 step strategy to make all your runs feel easier
- How to pace your runs better to make your breathing easier and feel stronger
- How to run better on hills to make them less scary!
Homework! At the end of each session, I will give everyone some things to practice based on what we work on in that session
parkrun – Come and join the Steve Bonthrone Fitness club at parkrun! In addition to the Thursday sessions, I would like to encourage everyone to meet up on Saturdays at parkrun to put everything into practice.
Facebook – as part of the group, you are welcome to join the Facebook group dedicated to support and encourage each other between club sessions
How much does it cost?
£30 per month
The sessions will be perfect for you as one of the key aims is to improve stamina
Yes! One of the key areas of the whole group is improving pace and so you’ll be able to learn a pace that feels better for you and allows you to progress easier
It’s ok, you won’t be expected to keep up with anyone. Everyone is encouraged to focus on themselves and the sessions are designed so runners of all levels can take part and benefit
